12 Things to Look for When Buying an Vintage Liverpool Shirt

1. Ask the seller if they are the only owner of the shirt. Or has it passed through multiple hands - so then ask if it is genuine or not.
2. Is the shirt at least 10 years old?
3. Did Liverpool finish the comp on top that year?
4. Zoom in on the photo from the seller and check the shirt's condition. Be wary of stitching of the hems & badges.
5. Is it framed already or not? Consider the price difference/mailing fees if framed or not.
6. Are there special features on the shirt?
7. How long has the shirt been vacuumed packed? This keeps it clean from smoke stains, dust and wear & tear from re-washing.
8. Search on Wiki or from the Official Liverpool FC Site to confirm which season the shirt you are buying is actually from.
9. Ask for another photo of the label which should say something similar to:
   

   ADIDAS
   SIZE L 102 - 107
   70% nylon 30% acetate. 100% polyester ribs
   Made in England

10. Is postage free? Question any delivery fees.
11. Check the sellers feedback - if you are buying it off eBay check their feedback status which should be 97% - 100%
12. Can you make a lower offer on their fixed price. If it is auction only offer 10% more close to the expiry time.
